Active; focal plane 21 m (69 ft); white flash every 5 s. 8 m (26 ft) round cylindrical cast iron tower with lantern and gallery, painted white. A 2008 closeup photo is available, Trabas has Tom Champagne's photo, Marinas.com has aerial photos, and Google has a satellite view. Located at the southwestern corner of Hoy marking the northwestern entrance to Pentland Firth, 13 km (8 mi) north of Dunnet Head Light on the mainland.
